Ahead of Fox News' upfront Advertising Age has an article that is full of data, noting that Fox News is pitching itself as upscale as some mainstream networks:
Part of Fox's upfront pitch will include a slide that shows its share of 25- to 54-year-old viewers with household incomes of $100,000 or more. Among its broader competitive cable set, Fox has 26% share of cable's gross rating points among that audience, more than History (12%), Discovery (11%) and CNN (9%).
More data: though Fox News crushed CNN in the ratings in 2009, advertising revenue was much closer: $506.5 million million versus $415 million for CNN according to Kantar.
Fox cites figures from SNL Kagan that put Fox News' combined revenues (ad sales plus cable carriage fees received) at $697 million, up 4%, and higher than CNN and HLN's combined revenues for the first time.

Awesome picture of Beck!
Love it keep it coming Fox; doesn't matter weather or not Obama nation care passes or fails Fox is going to soar.
Upscale certainly doesn't mean intelligent or correctly informed. . .
Can't stand it can you? The need to retort with that type of comment says so much about you.
Isn't that the truth!
You have a good point. The Hollywood crowd and many sport figures certainly provide evidence of that.
Now thats the truth!
Glen Beck is a total clod lol. Roger Ebert had a great post on Beck last week: http://blogs.suntimes.com/ebert/2010/03/jesus_w…
Making more than 100,000 doesn't mean anything
Look at Glen Beck

Two words guys: LiberalViewer
I'm not a fan of MSNBC, I wasn't a fan of CNN either, I'm tuning into it more frequently when Fox News starts discussing issues with a clear biased expression. I never thought I would say this, but CNN is actually a breather away (at least they come off as the most mutual) from both the extreme left and right ideologues at MSNBC and Fox News respectively.
I'm still a Fox News viewer, but I don't trust more than half the things they say when they chant in tune with their Right-wing contributors and guests.
Typically condescending of the “new” democrats.
I was a life long dem(40yrs) till I spent alot more time(3yrs) getting educated as to whats really going on in Washington and with my partyand the republican party! I sleep at night alot better now that I am an independent. I am already educated, college + not that it is relevent. Does the “new” democratic party even know/remember what the Constitution means to this republic? I am truly afraid for my country. I am NOT anti government, just anti-BIG governent. I am NOT a racist, “teabagger” or uneducated and am sick and tired of being called this just because I have serious issues with the direction this administration is taking our country.
PS It just seems like the “new” democratic party just wants to throw away/rewrite all that this country has been, ie its history, constitution, free market values, individualism… I truly believe there are some and I say some who want to destroy this country and reshape it into something no one will recognize. I just dont think we should or need to “throw the baby out with the bath”.
And this is different how than the “New Republicans”
Lets face it. Both extreme parts of both political parties represent the worst and use that to their advantage with viewers to stir up hatred and intense opposition to the other side.
Thing is most democrats and republicans in this country are moderates who don’t share the fanaticism of either side.
I’m no republican or democrat. IMO both Fox and MSNBC are not news, they are extreme right and leftists political machines. I watch for the entertainment value only. Anyone wanting unbiased news will only find it on PBS anyway.
I'm an Independent, Fox News should be called Fox Entertainment or Republican News Network. CNN is useless and I don't watch MSNBC. Heck I get more info watching John Stewart show and Colbert report.
