According to a statement, Fox News has edited out the LL Cool J segment it was promoting as part of Sarah Palin Real American Stories special that debuts Thursday at 10 p.m. Eastern.
Cool J had complained on his Twitter account that Fox News had misappropriated the interview from 2008.

The power of social media strikes again!
Wow. Is that supposed to be english? Some many celebrities are writing like that. I find it interesting.
Gamma, don't be a knucklehead. It's Twitter-english that almost everyone invokes at some point to make the best use of 140 character limits.
Interesting. So taken in context, what was he talking about? How did Fox get the idea to use it for the Sarah Palin special?
Too bad he only hit 123. (Yes, I'm aware that it was pathetic to count that out, but I was curious as to why he had two uses of the word “to” followed by an “R” and a “2.” I'm on twitter–I get the 140 character limit, but I think some people use it as an excuse too often. He could have easily fit a coherent message in there appropriately.
For the record, I've never used “2″ for “to” or “too” or any other half-witted abbreviations on my twitter. Proof: twitter.com/ThingsNoOneAsks
fox news has no shame.
Fox needs to stop being so manipulative.
Ani, it probably has nothing to do with his desire to keep working in Hollywood. If you disagreed with every single thing that Sarah Palin says, you wouldn't want to be connected with her either. He's on an unbelievably high-rated network show, and has been in the business for longer than some readers of this site. He might have to answer for outright supporting her, but to just be tangentially connected would not hurt his career. It screams “principle of the thing” to me.
Misrepresentation is what Fox News is all about.
Maybe he doesn't want his name “contected” with Palin because she's a shameless user who abandoned her public-service commitment to the people who elected her because she suddenly could make much more money elsewhere.
Still, you can't deny he'll probably get major brownie points for being so vocal about it. If you look at what the show is about, it shouldn't matter who the host is. It's not like Sarah says something and then they cut it to look like cool j is endorsing her or something.
I can only imagine that Fox News understands the most about things being used out of context and if LL had taken up his complaints with someone in charge first rather than run to Twitter. Where he knows the whole world will hear about shows more a judge on his character than anything IMO. Fox did the right thing pulling him from the show. It's too bad. When the other side doesn't want to reach out.
I noticed on mediamattters site that they used a Sean Hannity screenshot out of context. Those were words by Obama himself, look it up. Instead mediamatters wants everyone to think Sean H. is saying those things about Obama. Now that is reall “lifting” and “misrepresentation”.

And we all know how the MSM all take things out of context on a daily basis. So let's not act like this is a one an only isolated incident around.
Really though, aren't we all a little tired of this game? I am.
Update: Now another one of Palin's scheduled “guests” is incensed about being promoted to appear on her show – and it's Toby Keith! That's right, ultra-conservative country music artist Toby Keith is echoing Mr. Cool J in objecting to having an old interview air during Palin's show!

Watch Fox News cave in tonight and at 10 PM run Dave Ramsey or Stossel from Fox Business or something. April Fool's on us, huh?
LLCOOLJ just lost a ratings boost, he's an idiot. He's another OBAMA ass KISSER and I'm glad they pulled a segment that made him look GOOD to MILLIONS of viewers
Yeah, this is what FoxNews is all about. Chucking a black guy off their show.
Is that all ya got? I can show you REAMS of URLs where the non-Fox media praises Obama like a visiting dignitary; they guy was a 50-day senator before becoming president- never made payroll or accomplished a thing in his life, other than clearing a law school that clearly needs to reform their view of the law.
Let's talk about the non-Fox news claiming the TEA Party folks are racist/homophobic/mean when I've been to several of these demonstrations and none of that's true. With all the cameras present, recording devices by the score, why is NOT ONE ANGRY ALLEGATION ON TAPE? (Because it didn't happen).
If you think a larger, blinder, couldn't-care-less-about-you government making your decisions is better than you getting your pay and deciding to what to do with it, you're a robot. No sane person would make such a choice. Such robots listen to Ed Schultz and Joy Behar and think they're soothsayers and shaman. They're not; they're lost, too.
Let's increase your pay. Let's make it hard for you NOT to have a job. Take stupid laws off your back like the no-trans-fats, use-CFC bulbs, and drive only certain kinds of cars. Pay teachers that do the better jobs, so your kids have a good shot at the future, and destroy the democrat plantation where welfare people (if they vote at all) vote only for the people who put them there. Let's get school vouchers so they're not stuck there.
You actually _want_ Conservativism. Everyone does; it's synonymous with freedom and prosperity. But the non-Fox news will convince you otherwise. So will the Whitehouse.
Listen to Limbaugh for one full week. Hear for yourself the “racism” the “sexism” and the “homophobia”. Rush is probably the most color-blind guy I know. He wants *everyone* to do well, doing what they want. This isn't evil.
This idiot just lost a HUGE ratings boost from MILLIONS of viewers who LOVE PALIN. He's another Hollywood Obama Ass Kisser trying to keep working. No dought about it, in Hollywood it's required be to be a Progressive Liberal and a Fox News Hater to stay working in front of the camera. This prick can go on food stamps and unemployment.
You believe that crap, the dick weed who wrote that artical is a Fox News Hater…like you. Toby Keith is Conservative and voted for Palin. Your an Obama Douche Bag.
small-minded hater! get the message not the spelling! You seem to be living in the dark ages (like most of your type) . Tweeting or txting abbreviates the spelling to give an accurate msg using the least possible number of characters. Little wonder even in very serious debate you agrandise the petty (typical extreme right-winger)
Toby Keith is a democrat, he mentioned that on the view a while back, get your fact straight when you insult some one morons, the audience gasp when he said that.
