Fox Wins Another 18-49 Ratings Week; While ABC Manages To Be Competitive

With only one night of CBS primetime NCAA basketball (Saturday) last week, Fox was not to be denied the weekly ratings wins for adults 18-49 and 18-34. With both Dancing With The Stars Results and V added to its weekly line up, ABC still finished third in adults 18-49, but was no longer embarrassed (as, of course, NBC was, and will likely be for the rest of the season). CBS and Fox tied for adults 25-54, and CBS topped the week for average viewers.

ABC beat NBC by 0.6 adults 18-49 ratings points on the week, and will need to do so each week for the rest of the season to have a chance to catch NBC for the season’s third place in adults 18-49.

Note that the chart includes RATINGS not VIEWERS as was typical in our weekly network ratings posts prior to July, 2009.

Each rating point is a percentage of the US TV population in that demographic group and equals: 2.90 million viewers, 1.32 million adults 18-49, 0.68 million adults 18-34 and 1.24 million adults 25-54.
