Deadline.com's Andreeva: Law & Order: Los Angeles Coming To NBC Next Fall

Looks like Nellie Andreeva's move from The Hollywood Reporter to Deadline.com is already paying off. She's reporting that NBC has picked up Law & Order: Los Angeles for next fall.

She also reports that Law & Order: SVU is coming back pending minor budgetary matters, no surprise there. And that the original Law & Order was looking good for a record 21st season, which was the conventional wisdom.

Is NBC going to live off Law & Order forever? How many more they gonna make?

  2. In other words NBC's so desperate they're spinning new shows off of shows they aren't even sure they're going to renew yet. I should follow it with Trauma: New York

    No! Come on, man!

smart move with NCIS: LA confused 50+ viewers are certain to tune in. I could accept if they kill Mothership. I still hope we see CSI:SF.

This has got to be a belated April fools joke! When will the madness stop? Just when I thought L&O and L&O CI will most likely end next year and SVU will be the only survivor for like the next three seasons and then the franchise can finally die out – this happens! >.<

  6. So they're not even bothering with a pilot? NBC must really be desperate.

aka “Creatively Bankrupt: NBC” – (alternative title)

    Another Law and Order?

    1) NBC's development team are idiots.
    2) People who want more of this, after 20 season of Law and Order, 12 seasons of Law and Order CI, and Law and Order SVU, officially have no taste.

What's next, Law & Order: SVU: LA.

Anyway, Law & Order: LA might be on Tuesdays 10…

I will take another L&O instead of Trauma or Mercy or even Minute to Win It. I finally watched that show last tight on DVR, it was truly idiotic, tacky and cheaply done. I hated the blueprint voice. What a joke. Talk about creatively bankrupt, Minute to Win It is a poor remake of a 1950s game show called Beat the Clock. That show had a lot more wit to it.

I really don't see how SVU's ratings continue to do so well. Of the three L&Os currently on the air, SVU has by far the worst, most convoluted writing.

original Law & Order, on the other hand, is still churning out quality writing and is tanking in the ratings. go figure.

  12. At least people will get off Criminal Minds' back for getting a spin-off. CM is like American Idol compared to this…

At least now they could make it like a thing: L&O on Mondays at 10, L&O: LA on Tuesdays at 10 and L&O: SVU on Wednesdays at 10. Parenthood goes well with the NBC comedy block anyway.

Really? Law & Order: Los Angeles? They couldn't think up any more acronyms to use?

Why oh why do we need ANOTHER Law & Order??? Did they learn NOTHING from Trial by Jury????

  16. tvfanatic

I only watch Law and Order: SVU. I use to watch Law and Order but I dont like the newest detectives. I've never like Law and Order: CI. I will watch the new one though.

  17. tvfanatic

I actually think that SVU has the best acting and still has very interesting story lines. The current detectives on the original Law and Order annoy me.

  18. Connman

I think they learned that anything that “Lenny” was in could work. Too bad Jerry Orbach died on them. I think they pulled the plug a bit quickly, but that's what they do these days!

  19. Connman

At least they shaved that fuzz off their faces. It was OK on Bernard, but Loops just looked sloppy!

Don`t worry next fall 2011-12 : Law & Order: NY e Law & Order: Miami
