CBS SPORTS MARKS 51ST YEAR OF NFL COVERAGE AS NETWORK ANNOUNCES 2010 "NFL ON CBS" BROADCAST SCHEDULE

AFC Champions Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers and Baltimore Ravens to Appear 10 Times; New England Patriots, Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans to Appear 11 Times; and Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans Slated for 12 Appearances

Denver Broncos vs. San Francisco 49ers

Traditional AFC Rivalries, Key AFC-NFC Match-Ups and Thanksgiving Day Game Highlight CBS Television Network's NFL Schedule

The CBS Television Network, marking its 51st year of coverage of the NFL, will broadcast a total of 108 games during its 17 weeks of regular-season coverage of the NFL's American Football Conference.  The regular-season schedule is followed by a full post-season slate including an AFC Wild Card playoff game on January 9, 2011, two divisional playoff games on January 15 and January 16 and the AFC Championship Game on January 23.

Perennial power and AFC Champions Indianapolis Colts will appear 10 times each on THE NFL ON CBS, along with the AFC West Champions San Diego Chargers, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers andBaltimore Colts, while the AFC East Champions New England Patriots, AFC North Champions Cincinnati Bengals and the Houston Texans will make 11 appearances each; the Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans will be seen 12 times on CBS; the Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars and Kansas City Chiefs will appear 13 times each; and the Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns and Oakland Raiders 14 times each.

THE NFL ON CBS's 2010 broadcast schedule, which includes nine doubleheader weekends, features several of last year's powerhouse teams in the AFC and key AFC-NFC match-ups including Indianapolis-New England (11/21); Tennessee-Dallas (10/10); Indianapolis-Philadelphia (11/7); Jacksonville-Dallas(10/31); New England-Chicago (12/12); New York Jets-Pittsburgh (12/19); New York Jets-Chicago(12/26); New England-San Diego (10/24); Tennessee-New York Giants (9/26); Jacksonville-New York Giants (11/28); New York Jets-Denver (10/17) and Cleveland-New Orleans (10/24).

ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE

In Week 8, THE NFL ON CBS for the third straight year travels across the Atlantic Ocean to cover theDenver Broncos-San Francisco 49ers (10/31) game live from Wembley Stadium in London, England.

AFC DIVISIONAL RIVALRIES

Along with near-weekly divisional battles in the AFC North between Cincinnati, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Cleveland, other AFC games highlighted include interdivision rivalries in the East including New England-New York Jets (9/19); in the South including Indianapolis-Houston (9/12); and in the West including San Diego-Denver (1/2/11).

THANKSGIVING DAY GAME

Thanksgiving Day (11/25) will feature the New England at Detroit.

? OPENING KICK-OFF

THE NFL ON CBS kicks off Week 1 with singleheader coverage on Sunday, Sept. 12 (12:00 Noon-4:00 PM, ET) beginning with THE NFL TODAY, the Network's pre-game studio show.

The day's NFL action is highlighted by Indianapolis visiting Houston and Cincinnati taking on New England. Other regional action that day on THE NFL ON CBS includes Cleveland-Tampa Bay, Miami-BuffaloDenver-Jacksonville and Oakland-Tennessee games, live on the CBS Television Network.

PRESEASON

CBS Sports' NFL pre-season schedule begins Friday, Aug. 27 (8:00 PM, ET) live in prime time with the San Diego Chargers taking on the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints.  The Network's second pre-season game sees the Dallas Cowboys visiting the Houston Texans live in prime time on Saturday, Aug. 28 (8:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network.

Jim Nantz and Phil Simms are the lead announce team for the Network's coverage of the NFL.

THE NFL TODAY, CBS Sports' NFL pre-game, halftime and post-game studio show, begins on Sunday, Sept. 12 (12:00 Noon-1:00 PM, ET) with host James Brown, along with analysts Dan MarinoBoomer Esiason, Shannon Sharpe and Bill Cowher.
