SYFY’S #1 SERIES, Warehouse 13 LANDS LEGENDARY LADIES LINDSAY WAGNER AND TIA CARRERE AS SEASON 2 GUEST STARS
New York, New York – April 26, 2010 – Warehouse 13, the most successful series in Syfy history, welcomes legendary ladies Lindsay Wagner (Bionic Woman) and Tia Carrere (Wayne's World, Relic Hunter) as upcoming guest stars. They join a line up of previously announced guest stars including Jewel Staite, Sean Maher, Philip Winchester and Nolan Gerard Funk. The second season of Warehouse 13 returns this summer beginning Tuesday, July 6 on Syfy.
Lindsay Wagner will portray Dr. Vanessa Calder, the in-house Warehouse 13 doctor who is responsible for treating the investigative team as well as the super secret governing body known as The Regents.
Tia Carrere will appear as Agent Katie Logan (Carrere replaces the recently announced Gina Torres) who reignites a relationship with former flame Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock) when the two reunite on a new case.
Warehouse 13 follows two Secret Service agents who find themselves abruptly transferred to a massive, top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government. The Warehouse’s caretaker Artie (Saul Rubinek) charges Agents Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock) and Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly) with chasing down reports of supernatural and paranormal activity in search of new objects to cache at the Warehouse, as well as helping him to control the Warehouse itself.
In its first season, Warehouse 13 became the all-time Syfy leader in total viewers (4.1 million), Adults 25-54 (2.1 million) and Household ratings (2.9).

Why is Gina Torres replaced?
I would not call Tia Carrere a “legendary” lady.
Lindsey Wagner? Hmmmm. Maybe Tia is cheaper than Gina or Gina got a longer term gig? No, it's probably scheduling conflicts.
First, I kind of like Warehouse 13. I will most likely catch most or all of its episodes during the season. That is not to say. . .by any stretch. ..that it will be appointment TV.
Now with that little caveat out of the way, here is my real post.
I can't help but laugh at how the show is touted as the “Warehouse 13, the most successful series in Syfy history”.
It really loses something in translation when you realized that W13 was the inaugural show of “SyFY” nework. They conveniently forget that is the ONLY new procedural on the SyFy network, and they totally ignore all the shows that were on the “Sci Fi” network before.
What's with all the guest stars? The regular cast is fine. No need to bloat.
They do that when they think the show isn't getting enough viewers
All I know is while I'll miss Gina, Tia is good replacement. Hopefully it'll turn into a recurring part. I don't think she's seen much in action roles since her Relic Hunter days.
What character did Gina Torres play? I can't remember her in any of the episodes
Gina hasn't played anything in this show. She was announced as a guest star previously but now it looks like Tia will be taking the role instead.
Well, that makes more sense. I guess I was thrown off when you said that you'll miss her.
Tia is hot stuff, much more interesting than Gina. The only problem is that with Jewel and Sean on the show, Gina would have made it a major Firefly reunion.
Lindsay? Eh, I could do without her. Last time I saw her was in the Stallone movie Nighthawks.
“The only problem is that with Jewel and Sean on the show, Gina would have made it a major Firefly reunion.”
I sort of think that was the point of having Gina on the show.
