“THIS WEEK” EXPERIENCES WEEK TO WEEK GROWTH -- + 17% IN ADULTS 25-54 AND +2% AMONG TOTAL VIEWERS

On Sunday, May 2, 2010, ABC News “This Week” experienced week to week growth among both the Adults 25-54 demographic (+17%) and Total Viewers (+2%), according to Nielsen Media Research.  Posting 820,000 Adults 25-54, “This Week” tied CBS’ “Face the Nation” in the demo rating (.7).  In addition, “This Week” narrowed the gap (280,000) among A25-54 with NBC’s “Meet the Press” by 10% year to year.

Last Sunday Jake Tapper had an exclusive interview with BP North American President and Chairman, Lamar McKay and moderated an interview with Secretary Janet Napolitano, Secretary Salazar, and Admiral Thad Allen.  The round table featured Rev. Al Sharpton, Bill Maher, Matthew Dowd, Katrina vanden Heuvel, and George Will.

“This Week” was rescheduled in seven markets or 4.17% of the country due to NBA programming.

Ian Cameron is the executive producer. ABC News Senior White House Correspondent Jake Tapper is the interim anchor.  The program airs Sundays on the ABC Television Network.
