Will Fox Hold “Lie To Me” & “Human Target” Decisions Until Summer?

From a Variety recap of bubble shows comes this little nugget:

Decisions on those two dramas [“Human Target” and “Lie to Me”] may have to wait until summer, when the network sees how the remainder of its originals perform. (If “Lie” does come back, it will be without busy showrunner Shawn Ryan, 20th Century Fox TV confirmed Friday.)

via Variety.

A delay in the decision past Fox’s fall upfront meeting on May 17 would still surprise me. Human Target has no new episodes left to air, and I doubt Fox needs any new ratings information before deciding on Lie To Me (and I doubt the comparability of summer ratings comparisons anyway).

We’ll see in a week.
