Definitions:

*Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted ViewingProgram ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs which are currently in approximately 24.4% of all U.S. TV households. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  1. Good that LOST went up, but I didn't love lastnight. It sorta dragged. Can't believe it's almost over now.

V was good, super cheesy, but fun.

  2. Pix

V was really renewed just so that ABC could say that not everything they've tried failed.

  3. Lester's Fan

You've got Fox in the first two slots on 'the scoreboard'

  4. 8 milions for PARENTHOOD? Really or there is a mistake? it would be best rating in total number for all the series

  5. Thanks. Fixed.

  6. Mokh5

Is it the most watched episode directed by Joss Whedon?

  7. Jeremy

Was Glee down last week? If it is,I feel bad.Such a great episode.

    Parenthood is a hit!

  8. SJ

Wow, ABC, NBC and CBS practically tied behind Fox? Tuesday really is a great day for broadcast!

Looking at Good Wife's ratings, I just keep telling myself – spring ratings, spring ratings…

Man was Parenthood annoying last night! What is it with this show that they feel the need to all yell at once 5 times per episode? And man, is that kid (Max) annoying! Everybody is just so freaking loud!

  9. johnthemon

Parenthood is shaping up to be quite a hit, by NBC standards. Probably due to lack of competition, but still. I guess it does have Biggest Loser as a lead-in, but still good.

    I personally find it super-boring.

  10. tmac4win

wow. ncis-is almost, even. but almost. probably Idol had smth to do with that, cause ncis was great.
    V-bad, Lost-good, Parenthood-WOW

  11. chucktranberg

Wow, Parenthood is really coming along–beating both Good Wife and finale of V. And it's overall viewer numbers at more than 8.2 million is better than most NBC scripted shows, I believe.

  12. Parenthood is an awesome show, the only drama that survives this year with great result and win the slot for a long…. next year good wife will stay there so i think the battle will go on

  13. Seriously? You thought Lost last night dragged? Wow, I thought last nights episode was one of the best of the season. Set up the finale is a perfect way.

  14. That 8.2 million viewers for Parenthood was a typo. It has been corrected.

Sadly, my ratings source that allows me to copy/paste the table was late today.

  15. erty

So it was only 6.2 million viewers for Parenthood. :(

  16. johnthemon

I'm guessing Parenthood will keep winning though. And I'm also guessing that ABC's new show (forgot what it was) in the slot will fail.

  17. Wow, I am surprised that AI did not go up from last week since we are getting close to the end. What do you think it will do in its last week? There is no competition since Lost is ending on Sunday.

  18. JR35

Even though “V” probably will be adjusted down to a 2.2, still in line with its performance since returning. Hopefully it finished tops again with MEN 18-49. :)

  19. Holly

Parenthood continues to do very well for NBC. At least NBC got one good thing out of this season.

The NCISs are down quite a bit, which isn't really since they'll have less competition in the fall, but it's still not good.

  20. 100% agreed. Perfect way to set it all up. Nicely done for a pre-series finale episode ;)
