Summer, summer, summer! A great time of year, if not a bit of a a yawn and stretch period here at TV by the Numbers. Sure, summer premieres and burnoff lack the oomph of the fall premieres on the broadcast networks, but some of cable's finest strut their stuff in the summer.
When I scan the list below I don't see much on the broadcast networks I'll be adding to my DVR, but throw in the cable shows and my TV viewing won't be taking much of a break. And that's not even counting 80 episodes of Bones and a gazillion episodes of Law & Order that I hope to catch up on via Netflix.
While I'm sure interest in the ratings for True Blood and Warehouse 13 will remain sort of strong for us over the summer, not to mention new shows like Covert Affairs, I'm looking for Betty White and TV Land's Hot In Cleveland to be our summertime Chuck! All Betty White, all the time. Betty White fans, you can make it happen!
