FlashForward Fans Engage In Sunny, Fresh Air "Save Our Show" Stunt

I've got to hand it to the FlashForward fans, as futile "Save Our Show" gestures go, this one will at least result in them getting some fresh air and sunshine. Maybe even produce a chance to meet an attractive fellow fan. Enterprising folks may want to sell cold drinks in the vicinity.

In the spirit of "FlashForward's" central premise, fans of the show will gather in front of ABC network and affilate offices in New York, L.A., Chicago, Detroit and Atlanta on June 10 and stage a blackout of their own.

That's right.

For two minutes and 17 seconds, fans of the show are going to pretend to be passed out in front of ABC offices.

Not a waste of money and certainly more fun than a mobile billboard.

  1. OH MY GOD, is this for real? its a joke right? People aren't there more important issues in the world? To each their own but this is beyond ridiculous imo

  2. Now? When the fall schedule is out, and they probably have already torn down the sets to make space for the new shows, they are mounting a “save our show campaign”. ROTFLMAO!

  3. Hopefully both of them show up otherwise someone might call an ambulance

    Genius.

I want to point out the futility of it all but the whole idea is just genius. Crazy genius. ABC should film it and air it. It can't possibly rate worse than FlashForward did…

  5. haha, thats fun

I wish I didn't have to work on Thursday. I would definitely swing by to see this happen. Though I don't see what time it's supposed to take place at.

  7. Chiefisgreat

I'll be there pickpocketing them. THEN we'll see how truly committed they are to selling these blackouts.

  8. This is definately not a joke. As I type this fans from around the world are voicing their support for this show. You may not have been a fan, but know that it has touched and entertained many and no amount of negativity will sway our hearts. It may not work, but can you fight the future?

    haha

  10. lostmesa

Cool idea. I hope a lot of people show up.

Futile? Sure but the last 5-6 weeks of FF were pretty damn good. ABC with their patented “lets put a somewhat shaky new show on hiatus for 5 months” killed whatever audience was there. I would have liked to have seen a season 2 but not to worry there will be plenty of dancing and talent shows and all that other crap that neilsen familys seem to love heh.

  12. It is a great excuse to drive 2 hours to L.A. and lay in the sunshine for a few minutes, then maybe hit up Universal Studios for the evening… weird, but pretty original. I probably will not be there, though.

  13. SJ

What, nothing in Boston?! Ah, damn… *rushes off to buy a train ticket to NYC for June 10*

  14. You gotta be kidding me.
I hope ABC arrest these morons.
Or at least ,”wake ” them up and send them home.

  15. Thomas

lmfao, that's so awesome. Should be really entertaining to see provided some people actually show up, despite the futility of it.

  16. jeffrey33

i love this idea :] this will be pretty funny too, someone better tape this.

  17. jeffrey33

as long as they don't do anything more than lay there i doubt it's much of a problem. plus, this isn't any different than Jericho fans sending peanuts or Roswell fans sending tobacco sauce, just that this will be more in person which imo is more effective way of saving a show.

  18. Bob

If the fans want to be true to the premise, they should not just lie down and play dead, they should pretend they are unaware of what is going to happen and flop awkwardly to the ground or fall down some stairs or choke on some half-chewed food or not open their parachute if they are skydiving.

  19. After a handfull of better episodes toward the end of the season, I wouldn't mind seeing a second run, but still. I won't be taking part. Maybe I'll just take a nap as my own form of blackout.

  20. “this will be more in person which imo is more effective way of meeting babes (or dudes)

    Corrected. ;)
