NBC UNIVERSAL’S MAURY, JERRY SPRINGER AND STEVE WILKOS SHOW DOUBLE DIGIT INCREASES– LARGEST GROWTH OF ANY TALKERS FROM MAY 2010 vs. MAY 2009

FIRST RUN SYNDICATED SHOWS!
STAMFORD, CT June 9, 2010–NBC Universal’s MAURY, THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW and THE STEVE WILKOS SHOW all posted double digit increases for the May 2010 sweep (April 29-May 26, 2010) vs. May 2009. The three talkers represented the largest gain of all daytime syndicated talkers.
In May 2010, MAURY, hosted by Maury Povich, posted a 2.1 rating/AA up 24% in HH from May 2009 (1.7); THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW posted a 1.4 rating, up 27% in HH from May 2009 (1.1) and THE STEVE WILKOS SHOW averaged a 1.4 rating, up 27% over May 2009 (1.1). STEVE WILKOS’ 1.4 was the highest rated sweep in the history of the program, now in its third season. Both JERRY SPRINGER and STEVE WILKOS posted the largest increases of ANY first-run syndicated show in May.
The NBC Uni talkers were only 3 of 4 daytime talkers that were up. Seven of the 11 talkers were down year-to-year, some by double digits.
Additionally. MAURY was #1 in women 18-34 for the sweep (tied with “Oprah”) with a 1.7 rating, up a whopping 31% from May 2009. It also tied with “Oprah” in adults 18-34 with a 1.2 rating, up 20% over May 2009.
