The Bachelorette was scheduled to run until 10:02pm, and True Beauty was scheduled to run from 10:02-11pm, increasing the likelihood that both will be adjusted in the final ratings.

ABC's Monday reality line up of The Bachelorette and True Beauty continued its summer roll, with both up vs. last week, as the competition's originals were all down.
On another Monday night when reality trumped scripted (so much for getting "serious" this summer), ABC's The Bachelorette rose a tenth of a ratings point (4%) vs. last week to a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating, and True Beauty also rose a tenth of a point (5%) to a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating. Because 2 minutes of Bachelorette aired in the 10pm hour, its more likely than usual its final rating will be adjusted upwards and True Beauty's will be adjusted downwards.
Fox's scripted line up went the other way, with Lie To Me down 10% to a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating vs. last week, and "will it make it to the fall lineup" The Good Guys falling a tenth of a ratings point to a series low 1.2 adults 18-49 rating.
NBC's Last Comic Standing original at 9pm was down 18% from last week to a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating. While Persons Unknown is getting more unknown by the week, down 8% to just a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating.
For the night overall, CBS and CW repeats held even in adults 18-49 vs. last week.

Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2010 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.
Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs which are currently in approximately 24.4% of all U.S. TV households. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

I so want to like “Lie to Me.” It has a great cast and a great premise. But boy has it gotten sensationalist and silly. Last night’s episode seemed like it was written by people whose total knowledge of the American legal system came from watching reruns of “Matlock.”
Poor Lie To Me… not absolutely bad, but… I expected more from it's summer ratings.
Ok, this might sound stupid. I recognise the symbols of cbs, abc, fox, nbc and cw on the table. Which is the other one?
Hmmm they seem to be lacking the hover “alt” text. It's Univision.
Wow, people really don't comment much in the summer, huh? This thread would have had over 100 posts already not 5 weeks ago (it's Chuck Monday).
Maybe Fox should have tried Lie to Me on Wednesdays, to prepare the viewers for the fall? Not bad, but tying the series low from two weeks ago ain't that hot either.
I don't know if it's a growing trend among the CBS stations around the country, but the CBS station in New Orleans (which is one of the highest rated CBS stations in the country) has frequently shown a movie when CBS is showing a night of replays. I don't know if my local CBS station thinks that it is more profitable to air a movie instead of replays but I was just wondering because they did it again last night.
Mr. Seidman, has NBC stopped providing late night updates?
If so, is that a seasonal thing or related to Jay's recent slide or both?
Gary, if the late night numbers are not in the overnight post, we did not get them.
And just like the last time(s) you asked, I assume it is a summer thing, but we don't know.
Bill, I think I've always used sufficient respect to be spared the attitude.
Sorry for taking an interest. Enjoy your site.
Wow, in two weeks, I'm guessing The Good Guys will be getting Dollhouse numbers… Unless FOX finally pulls the plug.
And, I know this is kinda offtopic, but Robert, Bill – do you guys know why the networks still haven't announced the fall premiere dates? Last year all the announcements were made by the end of June…
Reader's Digest version: any day now.
The CW did announce early last year, and my guess is this year between being in transition with PR executives and the guy who'll take the lead spot being on vacation played a role. ABC did announce some of its Fall schedule in early June with the rest in late July. NBC & CBS announced in late June (6/24 & 6/25).
I think it's already pretty safe to assume it's going to be the 20th. The 27th is way too late.
wow ABC, way to kick some ass!!!
Thanks
Thanks God, Persons Unknown is miniseries and all answers will be known by the end of summer. End even if it get canceled, DVD will be out on August 17. Terrible acting and terrible Jenet, but series are very good. Something like last years Harper Island.
Shame about Lie To Me's numbers. The Good Guys, however, is awful and I'm not surprised it's tanking.
I'm liking Persons Unknown less and less. This idiot reporter gets beat up twice now. Does he call the cops? Does he hire a bodyguard? Does he even tell his boss? He's an idiot.
The morons in the town try to build a bonfire? Why not set the whole surrounding forest on fire? Why not set ALL the buildings on fire and burn out the cameras? Idiots. I'm starting to root for whoever is torturing these morons, just like I always root for the serial killer in teen slasher movies because they're too stupid to live.
Show is rapidly going downhill and the ratings quite reasonably should follow.
I was thinking the same thing and how about being just a tad bit discreet about planning their escape since they are being watched. It had potential but it's a little hard to sypathize with the characters when they're such idiots. It's almost as if a 12 year old wrote the script
fwiw, Persons Unknown was pre-empted in the Metro Detroit area and is airing at 2:05am local time tonight. Probably won't make a dent in that small pimple called it's ratings, though…
That indeed may have had some effect, the NBC coverage for the hour was lower than usual, and Persons Unknown final ratings were adjusted downward:
Persons Unknown (96% coverage NBC normally 98%)
- 2.867 million viewers
- 1.9/3 HH
- 1.0/3 A18-49
