“THIS WEEK” EXPERIENCES GROWTH YEAR TO YEAR AND WEEK TO WEEK

ABC News’ “This Week” was the number two public affairs program among both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 on Sunday, June 20, 2010 according to Nielsen Media Research.  “This Week” also experienced growth year to year and week to week.  Versus the same week last year, ABC grew +6% in the Adults 25-54 demographic, while CBS’s “Face the Nation” declined -34%.  Week to week, “This Week” grew +1% among Total Viewers and held steady in the demo.  “Face” and NBC’s “Meet the Press,” in comparison, both experienced week to week drops in Total Viewers – -19% for “Face” and -4% for “Meet.”  CBS also declined in the demo by -23%.

Last Sunday anchor Jake Tapper had an exclusive interview with White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. The round table featured Richard Haass, Michel Martin, Greta Van Susteren, and George Will.

Ian Cameron is the executive producer. ABC News Senior White House Correspondent Jake Tapper is the interim anchor.  The program airs Sundays on the ABC Television Network.
