Fox again leads the week's adults 18-49 ratings averages, but it was a tight (and low rated) race, with NBC a tenth of a point behind in second, and ABC and Univision tied for third another tenth behind. I figured the return ofon July 8 would put CBS a bit closer to the top, but only 2 episodes of BB weren't enough to move them out of fifth place in adults 18-49. Perhaps adding the third episode this week will provide the needed boost.
Good news for the five English broadcasters overall, their combined average adults 18-49 audience was up 5% vs. the same week last year.
New and improved! The network's average viewership is now charted in millions of viewers, just like we report all other average viewership information on the site, not in viewership . I couldn't figure out a way to keep the same look to the chart and create two different axes, so I eliminated the units label from the vertical axis entirely, just pay attention to the numbers themselves and note the units (million viewers on the left, rating on the right) below the bars.
Note that the chart includes both AVERAGE VIEWERSHIP (on the left side) and ADULTS 18-49 RATINGS (on the right) using the same vertical axis scale.
Each adults 18-49 rating point is a percentage of the adults 18-49 US TV population in that demographic group and equals 1.32 million adults 18-49.
