After taking last week off from new episodes, USA's Burn Notice was the night's top program on cable both with viewers and adults 18-49, topping its USA sibling Royal Pains.

Futurama was up 1/10th of a ratings point with adults 18-49 vs. last week and back to the level of its premiere and picked up nearly 200,000 viewers versus last week.

After catapulting up last week, Bethenny Getting Married simmered back down to the level it was at a couple of weeks ago.

Burn Notice was OK last night, but still didn't really advance the overall story arc much. It's a little strange, but Jesse is starting to grow on me, I think.

    Yay at Futurama!

Nice to see Futurama doing well. Nice to see two other animated series doing well besides South Park(the other show being Ugly Americans).

Not surprised Bethenny was down since last week's episode was the episode to watch of the season. I'm curious to see if it's back up next week as the birth of her baby is shown.

It's so interesting how Burn Notice is a huge success at 1.8 but Rookie Blue is considered mediocre at 1.7. Guess that is the difference between broadcast and cable although these days to me a channel is a channel.

  6. Burn Notice was terrific. I'm happy that it did well. That woman character was creepy. Love how they keep coming up with interesting characters. Need more Maddy though. :)

-At least you guys/Travis removed the senseless question mark after Bethenny's name.
-I thought it would have been a cute marketing thing if after the wedding the ads had the question mark kind of fall off the screen or disintegrate or something.
-I should totally Tweet Bravo Andy about that. He is more than just a host around there. I tweeted the other night during his show complaining about the lack of closed captioning and it could have been a coincidence but with 10 minutes of my tweet the captions came up for his show as well as for RHNJ's (the captions were not on for RHNJ 1st airing which is what I complained/tweeted about) 2nd airing.

There is literally nothing I care about that airs on broadcast nets in the summer…I'm always looking to see the cable ratings and consistently skipping the posts about broadcast ratings. I'll never get how between the 3 of them they can't put on even ONE good show during the summer. If it weren't for USA, TNT, HBO, etc, I'd be watching nothing but movies all summer.

  9. RPD

Haven't watched Burn Notice yet. Still letting Inception sink in…

  10. janedoesays

Can't say enough about Burn Notice. Love that its back on top.

Well after all it may be that the recent dominance of Royal Pains over Burn Notice was nothing more than viewer confusion about the time switch. OR.. it could be that Royal Pains has become a royal pain for some viewers with its constantly meandering plotlines and emphasis on creepy FF-worthy idiot brother and their reptilian sire. Hey RP producers!! More McGyver, less As the World Turns!!!

All I ever read is hate for Jesse. I actually have liked the character from the start and I don't know why. I will say this was his best episode though.

  13. Jesse is really growing on me. I didn't like him at first, but his snarky confidence makes a great balance in the team. Looking forward to more from him.

  14. RPD

Finally watched Burn Notice. Jesse really is a great addition to the team…

How has Royal Pains dominated Burn Notice recently? They have always had around the same numbers. Also, if you take away Burn Notice as a lead-in, I'm sure Royal Pains numbers would go down some (I believe they did last year). I enjoy both shows, but Burn Notice is much better.

  16. Shikady

Something is missing in Burn Notice…Madeline!. We need the emmy nominated actress more!

  17. Joe

I think people just want a variety. I love Burn Notice and Futurama, Their is so much garbage, the media keeps the the reality and compensation shows going. That's all they talk about like ET or Regis and Kelly, don't watch them anymore. Regis never cared for them, then all of a sudden that's all they talk about. How are they doing? Does TN keep track of Morning talk shows?

  18. jimtv

Andy is much more than a host. He is senior vice president of production and programming at Bravo and a really nice guy.

  19. ap076

    exactly

I totally forgot about SYFY's new Thursday night reality block debuting this week. So, I'm guessing that since it didn't show up here in the chart, and no press release trumpeting ratings/demo/timeslot fireworks, both shows must've tanked?
