So on September 23, it will be Betty White V.S. Sheldon Cooper
That's amazing! For the first time ever CBS has done me a favor and not put Survivor on Thursdays. Thursdays just got infinitely easier to schedule. Also it's nice that Hawaii 5-O is on Mondays.
I'm looking forward to Hawaii Five-O and Blue Bloods. Big fan of Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg and I hope it finds an audience on Friday's at 10pm. But, I have a feeling that it's going to skew really old in the 18-49 demos. CBS also has 2 more procedurals for midseason. Chaos with Freddy Rodriguez and Eric Close and Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior with Forest Whitaker.
I think it's overkill, but I have a gut feeling that The Defenders will either get canned or only get 13 episodes and CBS will pair both Criminal Minds shows together on Wednesday's.
Woohoo, 90-minute TAR premiere!
Looks like CBS is expecting two casualties this fall with mid-deason replacements Chaos and CM2. I guess, one of them would be The Defenders (replaced by CM2). The second one not sure, maybe either Medium or Blue Bloods. I wonder what CBS would do with the replacements if all their shows succeeded.
Hello everybody
Does someone know if Melina Kanakaredes returns in the 7th season premiere of CSI NY ?
I read she didn't but something might have changed.
sorry, i don't feel like looking back in the archives, but can anyone tell me if ABC has released their premiere schedule yet? even though i can imagine exactly what it will look like I'd still like to know. link to the article please.
No, she isn't returnng according to Ausiello. Sad but at least we have Sela Ward!
Jimmy Johnson makes Survivor a must watch
I can't believe they still called it “$#*! MY DAD SAYS” – how are they going to pronounce it in the promos?
Surely “STUFF MY DAD SAYS” would have been more appropriate. It does sadden me that the moral standards of television networks are dropping – it's not so much the increase in violence or sex on TV, as those that care enough can self censor what programs they watch. But when you have such a strong implication of offensive language in the title of a show – well that doesn't rest so well with me.
One example that irked me was here in Australia there is a show called The Gruen Transfer which airs on ABC (the public broadcaster, like PBS in the states). It was on at 8:30 Thursday night and throughout the show the hosts swore (“F*** and S***”) multiple times. At 8:30! In fairness, that show is about advertising and can deal with some very diverse topics so it is probably not suitable for young children. But swearing on free-to-air TV at that timeslot, well I thought we hadn't sunk that low yet. Unfortunately I was mistaken.
They use “bleep”–not a bleep sound, they actually say “bleep”
Looks like CBS is expecting two casualties this fall with mid-season replacements Chaos and CM2.
Not necessarily, it's just better to be prepared. If nothing fails, they'll shorten one of the shows with OK ratings like they have the last two years, use them instead of repeats, or use them after AR finishes.
There's a lovely little search box in the upper right corner of the site. Try that.
What date Survivor:Samoa premiered again?
Thanks !
What a pity she doesn't return -_-
I know this is gonna make me look like one of “those” fans but I'd like to point out that CBS scheduling The Good Wife one week after the debut of Parenthood will diminish its chances of beating PH. Also, them scheduling Undercover Boss against the premiere of Brothers & Sisters will damage the ABC show.
Back to the schedule – I'm a little surprised they picked up Chaos for mid-season. I guess it's either going to replace Medium or CSI: NY, which will now undoubtedly fail in the absence of the lead actress.
Very limited choices for me this year on CBS – I'll only be watching Good Wife, HIMYM and TBBT – 2 hours total.
I see few shows here to convince me not to tune to a cable station.
I know this is gonna make me look like one of “those” fans…
Yep ;P
But seriously, I think it's more likely that CBS is trying to hurt the premieres of Parenthood and ….Detroit 187(?). NCIS gets higher ratings (probably even among women) than The Good Wife and the 2-hour premiere will keep people tuned in. So, more people will miss the premieres on NBC and ABC, making them less likely to tune into week 2.
wooohohoo 10-11 for CSI Miami. k so first they move it back a day then more it up for time???? Some people have school then next day and can't stay up til 11. !!!!
I'm assuming you're in Central or Mountain(?) time where primetime runs from 7-10 instead of 8-11 like it does in Eastern and Pacific time zones. If so, for you CSI: Miami will air from 9-10 (except when it is pushed back because of football over-run) just like it did on Mondays.
