Nielsen Ratings for ‘Jersey Shore’ Season One
Update: click here for viewer numbers for the season two premiere.
While we wait for the ratings for the season 2 premiere of Jersey Shore, here’s a look back at the ratings acceleration for season one. As you can see, the show’s two hour premiere early last December performed quite modestly, and in the early days MTV seemed to be fine burning an episode off on New Year’s Eve.
But by the time January rolled around it was consistently putting up numbers any cable network would love to have. Its season finale set series highs and had demo numbers even the broadcast networks wouldn’t scoff at.
