HARRY SMITH IN AN INTERVIEW TO BE BROADCAST

ON CBS NEWS’ “SUNDAY MORNING” ON AUGUST 1, AND

“THE EARLY SHOW” MONDAY, AUGUST 2

CBS News’ THE EARLY SHOW co-anchor Harry Smith will interview President Barack Obama at an auto plant in Michigan today.  The exclusive interview will air during this weekend’s SUNDAY MORNING, Sunday, August 1 (9:00-10:30 AM, ET/PT) and on THE EARLY SHOW Monday, August 2 (7:00-9:00 AM, ET/PT).

Smith’s interview will take an inside look at the resurgence of the U.S. auto industry and the state of the economy, immigration and the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan.

Rand Morrison is the executive producer of SUNDAY MORNING and David Friedman is the executive producer of THE EARLY SHOW.
