NEW YORK – August 5, 2010 — CBS News’ THE EARLY SHOW correspondent Betty Nguyen sat down with Grammy Award-winning hip hop star Wyclef Jean yesterday to discuss his plans to run for President of Haiti.  The exclusive interview will be broadcast tomorrow Friday, August 6 (7:00-9:00 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

When asked by Nguyen about his plans to run for president, Jean said, “Not only am I running for president of Haiti, I’m being drafted by the people of Haiti.”  When asked about his presidential qualifications, Jean continued, “I have no qualifications for president; I have qualifications for a leader.”
