Ellen came in a seven-way tie for 45th and Judge Judy bested Oprah for daytime supremacy for the 18th time in the last 20 weeks.
Yes, Oprah was in repeats, but...so was Judge Judy. Judge Judy averaged 5.9 million and a 4.2 household rating compared to Oprah's 4.2 million viewers and a 3.1 rating.
Maury had a really good July. Versus other talk shows (not Judge Judy) he swept many demographics, winning adults 18-49, adults 18-34, women 18-49, and women 18-34 and among talkers trailed only Oprah in viewers both for the week below and the whole month of July.
Maury's 3.17 million average for July was up 23% versus last year and the 1.2 adults 18-49 rating was up 33%. Good growth for a show about to enter its 13th season.
Ellen averaged a a 1.6 household rating and 2.2 million viewers.
Friday Night Smackdown was out of the top 25, averaging 2.76 million viewers for the week and a 1.6 household rating on Friday, July 30.
Please note that the syndicated weekly results are delayed versus normal reporting. While we get the broadcast and cable ratings for the prior Monday-Sunday period every Tuesday, there is an extra week of lag time with the syndicated ratings and these numbers are not for last week, but for the week before last.
