TLC’s ‘LA Ink’ & ‘American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior’ Rev Up the Ratings

Premiere of season 4 of TLC’s LA Ink inked 2M P2+ (Wed, Aug 11, 10-11 p.m. ET/PT), posting triple digit gains vs. the prior six-week prime premiere average in key demos, including a striking 127% in P25-54 (1.2M), 162% in P18-49 (1.4M) and 105% in W18-49 (778k).  LA Ink ranked in the top 5 among all ad-supported cable in prime delivery among  M25-54, P/M18-49 and P/W/M18-34, and its new Wed timeslot premiere posted double and triple-digit gains vs. previous Thu night premieres in series history in M25-54/18-34.

Debut of season 7 of TLC’s  American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior (Thu, Aug 12, 9-10 p.m. ET/PT)  revved up 2.8M P2+, also posting triple digit gains vs. the prior six-week prime premiere average in all key demos, including an impressive 531%  increase in M25-54 (1.1M), 228% in P25-54 (1.8M) and 144% in P2+, and was the #1 episode premiere in series history among P2+, P/M/W 25-54/18-49 and P/M 18-34.  American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior was #1 in prime delivery among all ad-supported cable (excluding sports) and ranked in the top 5 among  P/M 25-54/18-34.

In addition, new series Say Yes To The Dress: Atlanta(Fridays, 9-9:30 p.m. ET/PT) has averaged 1.3M P2+ series to date (7/30-8/13) and has posted double-digit delivery gains vs. the 3Q to-date prime premiere average in P2+ and W25-54/18-49/18-34, ranking in the top 5 on Friday among all ad-supported cable (excluding movies) in the same key Women demos.

The return of LA Ink, American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior and series debut of Say Yes To The Dress: Atlanta are part of TLC’s summer of premieres, dubbed TLC Summer.  The campaign, which kicked-off on May 27, boasts a dynamic line-up of new and returning series each garnering 1.2M total viewers or more.
