ABC has made the pilot of No Ordinary Family available for online screening, at least for the first 50,000 viewers as announced earlier today via the "No Ordinary Family" fan site Twitter acct I've written before that I'm not sure how it will do as a series, but I really enjoyed the pilot when I watched it a couple of months ago. I'm not sure if the version online is exactly the same as the one I saw, but I recommend it if you're looking for some lighthearted action fun.
Viewing the pilot requires you to login with your ABC.com ID or Facebook, Myspace or Twitter logins and the password is "Extraordinary" (without the quotes). Sorry international readers, but I wouldn't look for it to work outside of the USA.

Extraordinary
You need a promo code to view it. Anybody know what it is?
indeed it is “Extraordinary” (minus quotes) and I should’ve added that to the post! will add now.
Only for the first 50,000 it says on the blogspot link. I won’t be able to watch it until tonight so I hope leaving the video paused will still let me watch it later even if the limit is reached.
yet another thing that should’ve been added that now is (although I won’t be surprised if there’s really not a cap at 50,000).
Ok, watched. I like the concept, but I HATE the interview style. I hope that was just for the pilot for introductory purposes. I like it in some shows (Modern Family, The Office) but it just really did not work at all here.
My other problem with it is that (slight spoiler here, so stop reading if you haven’t watched yet) being good at math is a lame super power.
watched it, it’s ok but not a show i’ll be watching didn’t like the documentary style, or the super comedic tone as far as Fantasy/SCIFI shows go i’ll try out Lost Girl (Fantasy Noir Succubus show see lostgirlseries.com , The Event and The Walking Dead this Fall
I have been anticipating this show for a while and I couldn’t pass up this opportunity to view it early and get it over with. Apparently, my thoughts about the episode were…
Sorry, I can’t say them until September.
I really liked it. I think the documentary style may go away (they left themselves an easy to get out of it with the scene at the end in the office) which would probably serve the show better. I liked the lighter tone as well and think that will help it have a broader appeal than if they went hardcore scifi. If this were anywhere else on the schedule I’d bet that it would be one of the bigger new shows of the season, in that Tues 8pm I think it will compete but won’t draw as highly as it would elsewhere (and ABC has to understand that already).
I believe Michael Chiklis did say the documentary style is going to go away.
this was definitely one of my most anticipated new shows for this season, if not the most, and so i was super excited when i saw this.
anyway, totally not disappointed. very fun pilot and i look forward to the series. there’s definitely lot’s of promise and potential for an exciting, cool, and entertaining show. and although it’s in a very competitive time slot, i think it’ll do good and survive. it’s different and has appeal. i don’t hate the documentary style, but i do agree that it might be better without it.
i thought his superpower was major intelligence? lol not just math. i think he just happened to be in a math class. and i’m sure that as time goes on, we’ll discover more about these powers and how they work and depth.
Not a bad pilot, I’ll most likely start collecting episodes online once they air. The talking to the camera aspect didn’t really bother me, just like with auto-tune when it trends it trends, I’m sure this isn’t the only new show this fall to use it.
Looks like a good one to me.
I just got done watching, and I enjoyed the pilot. Will definitely continue watching, and I hope the quality holds up.
The interview thing goes away from the second episode on, as says creator/EP Greg Berlanti:
http://www.ksitetv.com/interview-with-no-ordinary-familys-greg-berlanti/
“We end it after Episode Two, in kind of a fun way. We’re on a network where there’s a lot of people talking to the camera, so I think we want to keep distinguishing ourselves, even on that network. There are even more new shows with people talking to the camera on that network. So, we voluntarily said we don’t have to be the fifth show with people talking to the camera. Our hope is to pull back on that.”
Wasn’t planning on watching it 1 month early, but I went ahead and watched it and I liked it alot. Thought it was a pretty good introduction to the show and the characters. It has a really good creative team behind it Greg Berlanti and Jon Harmon Feldman, so I’m confidant they can pull off this genre and make this work as a series. Liked Chiklis and thought he had chemistry with Benz. The kids were annoying, but that’s typical for this and most other shows. I’ll definitely be tuning in next month.
Im watching right now. Its pretty good
A really cute fun show but it is coming on against NCIS which means I’ll have to catch it on Hulu.
Solid 8/10 pilot. I recommend it and I’ll be watching come this fall. I liked how it didn’t take itself so seriously unlike Heroes. The moping girl who can’t have a scene without talking about her virginity could use some tweaking though.
