OK Magazine reports that Jersey Shore's five million dollar man Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino will be joining the cast for the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars.
Since Jersey Shore is much more popular than Kate Plus 8, the ratings for this cycle of DWTS should rate even higher (5s and 6s for the Monday performance, 3s and 4s for the Tuesday results).
OK, this has been a bad day all around. First the report of the $5 million and now this? At some point sanity has to return. It might mean higher numbers, but I wonder if total viewers will decline. I was turned off by Kate and that gave me three free hours of viewing last season. I’m thinking the same thing this season as well.
I might be in the minority, but the overall numbers will be very interesting. Will the demographic put up with the rest of the nonsense and filler on this show?
Blah I’m dying.Wasnt last season with Kate bad enough. Who’s next Tigers ex-wife? Who wants to predict when Enin gets a reality show.
Well this will drive the younger demos up. I wonder how long he will last.
Probably as long as Kate did, which is 10 shows longer than she should have. I’m sure no matter how awful he may be it won’t matter. Who knows he could end up being a pleasent surprise.
I weigh 170# and my belling looks more like the situations Bottom and I like books. Wonder if the Situation has read any. Dancing with the Stars, what ever happened to violent movies….just a joke.

Will he be dancing with a male or female partner?
As much as folks like to dog on Kate and “The Situation”, their respective shows bring in the ratings. You can’t blame ABC for trying to capitalize on their “popularity” even if it is for the train wreck value.
You would have to put a gun to my head to watch both of these shows, I would plied pull the trigger.
Talk about scrapping the bottom of the barrel. UGH.
sounds like somebody needs a hug…
“Really Barry Bostwick is a star? No he isn’t, he is a neat guy, but hardly a star.”
That is debatable. Barry Bostwick doesn’t strike me as someone who needs to be known as a star, but under his belt as a leading actor/singer he has one of the biggest cult classics ever (The Rocky Horror Picture Show) and a major Broadway hit (Grease).
Good News for Chuck.
This may be the downfall of Dancing.
Keep dreaming.
