USA has the Top Five P18-49 Scripted Originals on Basic Cable this Week with

USA Set to Win Fifth Summer in a Row
NEW YORK, NEW YORK – August 24, 2010 – USA continues to burn up the competition this summer, sweeping this second-to-last week of Summer 2010 with double-digit margins over the #2 cable network in all key demos for press prime, averaging 1.35 million P25-54 (+25% over #2 TNT), 1.25 million P18-49 (+39% over #2 TNT) and 3.25 million total viewers (+21% over #2 DSNY), and topping MTV among P18-34 by +2%. USA was the only cable network above 1 million in P18-49, 1.1 million in P25-54 and 3 million total viewers. USA also sustained its triple-digit lead over The CW by +139% in P18-49, +159% in P25-54, +130% in P18-34 and +209% total viewers.
USA had the top five scripted originals on basic cable this week in P18-49 with episodes of(2.34 million), (1.97 million), (1.935 million), (1.92 million) and (1.83 million), and the top three in P25-54 with (2.41 million), (2.33 million) and (2.29 million).
USA placed five of the top ten P18-49 and P25-54 telecasts, more than any other network, with telecasts of, , and WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW.
- On Tuesday WHITE COLLAR delivered more P18-49 (1.92 million) and total viewers (4.48 million) than any episode since the January 2010 Season 1.5 premiere and more P25-54 than it has since the current season’s premiere on 7/ 13/10.delivered series highs across the board, bringing in 2.41 million P25-54, 2.34 million P18-49 and 5.36 million total viewers. This week’s episodes of and COVERT AFFAIRS both broke the 1 million mark for the first time ever in P18-34 delivery (WC 1.05 million / CA 1.12 million).
- In the 9pm hour,delivered more than twice as many P18-34 (+122%) as TNT’s “Hawthorne” head-to-head in the 9pm hour while enjoying double-digit leads among P18-49 (+33%), total viewers (+18%) and households (+18%), and also beat the show by +5% among P25-54 viewers. In the 10P hour, COVERT AFFAIRS tripled the P18-34 (+212%) delivery and doubled the P18-49 (+97%) delivery of the #2 scripted cable original in the hour, “Memphis Beat,” as well as enjoying wide margins of victory among P25-54 (+54%), total viewers (+36%) and households (+33%).
- On Wednesday,delivered its best numbers since the winter’s Season 4.5 premiere (1/27/10) among P25-54 (1.86 million), P18-49 (1.83 million) and total viewers (4.11 million). This was the best summer P18-49 audience for the series in two years (since 7/25/08). The show took the top spot in cable prime among both P25-54 and total viewers while entertaining more P18-49 and P18-34 than any other scripted telecast of the night. delivered +13% more P25-54 and +21% more total viewers than “ ,” the 2nd most popular scripted telecast of the night in those demos, while beating the #2 P18-49 telecast, “ ” at 10:30pm, by +47%, and the nearest scripted P18-34 competitor, a “ ” repeat at 10pm, by +4%. In its third week of the new season, “ ” was driven even further under cover with experiencing wide margins of victory over the TNT drama in P25-54 (+68%), P18-49 (+106%), total viewers (+69%) and P18-34 (+244%).
- On Thursday,and ROYAL PAINS were the top scripted offerings on cable Thursday among both P18-49 and P25-54. BURN NOTICE at 9pm averaged 2.3 million P25-54 and almost 2 million P18-49. In the 9pm hour, USA was the #1 English-language TV network with entertainment programming, topping all broadcast and cable competition for P18-34 and M25-54. ROYAL PAINS at 10pm found 2.33 million P25-54 and 1.935 million P18-49. In the 10pm hour, USA beat ABC, CBS and NBC among P18-34 and P18-49.
