Earlier I posted that President Obama would address the nation about the end of combat operations in Iraq live at 8:00pm ET on Tuesday, August 31 and that CBS (and likely the rest of the networks other than the CW) would broadcast the event.  At the time I didn't realize the speech is only planned to be  approximately 15-20 minutes.

Those looking forward to "Shaq Vs. Justin Bieber,"  fear not, ABC still plans to air it.  Here's ABC's tentative schedule for August 31:

Tuesday, August 31,2010

8:00   -     8:15 pm   PRESIDENT OBAMA ADDRESS  -  ABC

8:15   -     9:16 pm   Wipeout - "Ladies Night"

9:16   -     10:16 pm   SHAQ VS - "Shaq VS Justin Bieber/Shaq VS Jimmy Kimmel"

10:16   -    11:15 pm   PRIMETIME:  CRIME (Season Premiere)

Please Note:  Timing (length and end time) for the Presidential address is approximate.

The Futon Critic reports, NBC will air an abbreviated episode of Minute To Win It in the eastern and central time zones followed by the regularly schedule America's Got Talent at 9pm.

Everything will run at normal times in the pacific/mountain time zones.
