No surprise that USA topped the prime-time average viewership and adults 18-49 ratings and Nickelodeon topped total day overall viewing for the week ending August 29, 2010.
Once again TNT had the week's top two most-watched programs (The Closer, Rizzoli & Isles), but USA had the next 3 (Burn Notice, Royal Pains, Covert Affairs) and easily beat TNT in both overall viewing and adults 18-49 viewing for the week. With 2 preseason NFL games, ESPN moved up above its typical rank to #2 for adults 18-49 and #4 for primetime average viewership.

Where’s HBO?
We do not see ratings averages for HBO.
Just occurred to me…Does FX only run its original shows in the fall and spring – same as the broadcast nets?
If so, why? This would seem very counterproductive ratings wise, given that most other cable nets showing originals go out of their way to avoid head-to-head competition with the bcasters.
Hmmm.
