Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

“The Big Bang Theory repeat was the night’s top show with adults 18-49, and Two and a Half Men was tops with total viewers.” – so sad…
I guess maney CW stations aired football cause those repeats r always lower! Ithink that ABC should be hapy wih Bachelor Pad! Its doing great & its cheap! Does anybody know how much cost per episode a reality competition series like BP or Big Brother etc!
Big Bang repeated one of their best eps ever with Laurie Metcalf as Sheldon’s mom. They need to bring her back!!!!!
I think it’s so weird that TBBT-reruns get better ratings than original episodes of Cougar Town.
What do you mean airing the football? Some of those viewers weren’t actually watching GG or 90210?
Cougar Town isn’t the only one. Did you forget The Middle and a few others. TBBT is a big hit that’s why it’s ratings are higher than Cougar Town.
Cougar Town does get lower ratings than TBBT.. But its 18-49 demos do pull in slightly higher than TBBT repeats I believe.. But I know for a fact TBBT first run episodes pull way stronger 18-49 demo ratings than first run of cougar town.. It’s pretty sad because Cougar Town is an excellent show with an awesome cast and the main title scares people away.. Since the beginning of the season Cougar Town has pulled out of the whole”cougar” concept and moved on to better things.. People should give it a try..
Community, Parks & Rec, most episodes of 30 Rock, every live action comedy on Fox in recent years, that sitcom that was canceled on ABC that Bill thought would be renewed, etc. I suspect that Mr. I-have-only-one-comment might be someone who is notorious for hating Cougar Town.
Wow, TBBT rerun, higher than usual! I’m really looking forward how it will do on Thursdays. I hope 4.5+
Rules rerun almost got a 2.0, I think it would build from HIMYM’s numbers come the regular season.
No DWTS announcement bump for Bachelor Pad but those are decent numbers for ABC but they got to be disappointed a little after the very high The Bachelor/ette ratings recently. . Dating in the Dark’s numbers are kinda decent given the low total viewers, it’s a relatively high 18-49 number.
OK numbers for Lie to Me but it will struggle this fall but I wonder if Fox is happy with that summer experiment.
I wonder why Dario is so sad about the identity of the highest rated broadcast network program on the Monday night 1 week before Labor Day. The networks are saving their money during the summer season so they can spend big money on scripted programs like V. ABC should spend millions of dollars on space battles. If Dario is so upset about BBT repeat being the highest rated program, he should have sent a $3 million check to Shonda Rhimes so she can produce an extra episode of Grey’s Anatomy and have ABC air the season 7 premiere yesterday.
Bachelor Pad only bested Lie to Me because of the oh-so-important DWTS cast announcement. If Lie to Me gets a 1.9 for the season 2 finale, its summer average will be 1.8, making it the best scripted performer on broadcast TV this summer. Kind of sad, actually…
Who are all of these people watching two and a half men, in rerun no less. Give me a break
