Early Ratings: ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Down; ‘Nikita’ Better Than ‘Supernatural’
Update: TVD scored a 1.6/5 rating with adults 18-49 3.35 million viewers. It had a 2.8 rating in CW’s Target women 18-34. Nikita scored a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating, a 1.9 rating with women 18-34 (the CW notes this was an all-time high with W18-34 in this time slot for original programming) and 3.57 million viewers. The full overnight report will be up separately shortly.
Brett Favre sucks the blood out of everyone else’s ratings? Last night’s NFL kickoff game scored the best primetime regular season metered market numbers in 13 years.
In the early metered market ratings (which don’t translate well to viewers and adults 18-49 that we should see in a bit) The Vampire Diaries scored a 2.5/4 household rating/share. That’s down double-digits from last year’s premiere that scored a 3.2/5.
Nikita fared better, scoring a 2.7/4 household rating/share, not only improving on its lead-in of The Vampire Diaries, but improving over Supernatural’s premiere(2.2/4) in the same time slot one year ago.
We should have the fast national overnights with viewers and adults 18-49 ratings posted shortly after 8:30a PT.
