Telecast Marks Highest-Rated Reality Show Premiere for Univision in 2009/2010 Season


MIAMI, FL, SEPTEMBER 13, 2010The Univision Network announced today that last night’s stellar debut of its new reality dance competition “¡Mira Quién Baila!” (Look Who’s Dancing!) reached 8.8 million Total Viewers 2+, who tuned-in to some or all of the three-hour broadcast. The show helped position Univision as the #3 broadcast network on a highly competitive night, beating ABC and CBS among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Men 18-49, Men and Women 18-34, and Persons 12-34. In addition, “¡Mira Quién Baila’s!” premiere episode averaged impressive audience levels with nearly 4.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.1 million Adults 18-49, 1.0 million Adults 18-34 and 1.2 million Persons 12-34. The telecast marked the highest-rated reality show premiere in the 2009/2010 Season for Univision among all key demographics, including Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Persons 12-34.

Additional Network Highlights:

  • The premiere of “¡Mira Quién Baila!” delivered more Adults 18-34 (1.0 million), Adults 18-49 (2.1 million) and Persons 12-34 (1.2 million) than first-run episodes of such broadcast network programs as ABC’s “The Gates” and CBS’s “60 Minutes.”
  • Among Total Viewers 2+, the premiere built its audience every hour, on this highly competitive night that included “MTV’s 2010 Video Music Awards®” and “NBC’s Sunday Night Football.”

“¡Mira Quién Baila!” airs every Sunday at 8pm ET/PT (7pm Central) on the Univision Network and is available with closed-captions in English on CC3.
