TeleFutura’s Local Stations Out Perform Telemundo in Spanish-Language Primetime in Key Markets Across the Nation
MIAMI, FL, SEPTEMBER 13, 2010 – TeleFutura, one of the largest Spanish-language networks in the U.S. and the ideal entertainment alternative for Hispanics across the nation, announced today that its primetime miniseries “Rosario Tijeras” has once again taken the lead over Telemundo in the competitive 10pm primetime hour, making TeleFutura the #2 Spanish-language network in the time period among Adults 18-49. In fact, Wednesday’s telecast of “Rosario Tijeras” (09/08/10; 10pm ET/PT, 9pm Central) delivered more Adult 18-49 viewers (744,000) than every novela telecast on Telemundo.
TeleFutura’s “Rosario Tijeras” also beat the premiere of Telemundo’s new novela property “Alguien Te Mira” by strong margins across all key demographics, including Total Viewers 2+ (+18%; 1.0 million vs. 869,000), Adults 18-49 (+52%; 744,000 vs. 491, 000), Adults 18-34 (+28%; 408,000 vs. 319, 000) and Persons 12-34 (+33%; 470,000 vs. 353, 000).
