The CW no longer has the broadcast premiere stage to itself, along with One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected, NBC premieres Parenthood tonight at 10pm.
How will they do in the ratings?
One Tree Hill premiered on Monday (9/14) to a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating, and a 1.6 adults 18-34 rating. Life Unexpected's premiere in late January drew a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating. By the end of the season, One Tree Hill was drawing a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating, and Life Unexpected was doing about a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating.
Parenthood's premiere in March the week after the Winter Olympics scored a 3.1 adults 18-49 rating. By the end of the season, Parenthood had settled down to about a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating. A superstar on NBC, it would have been a bubble show on CBS.
My guess: Based on last week's CW returning veteran shows, I'd expect a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating for One Tree Hill and a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating for Life Unexpected, and proportionally lower ratings in the 18-34 demos.
No data yet this year for returning NBC shows, so I'll guess Parenthood returns with last year's typical late season rating of a 2.5 for adults 18-49.
