NBC premieres its first rookie show of the new season, Outlaw tonight at 10pm. The show will move to 10pm Fridays, but apparently NBC figured premiering it there was too much of a handicap.
CBS moves thefranchise to Wednesday in an attempt to generate some ratings in the 8pm hour that has been a ratings albatross for them over the past several seasons as they tried to establish a second comedy "block".
How will they do in the ratings?
Last year NBC had no scripted shows at 10pm weekdays, instead airing The Jay Leno Show Monday-Friday which averaged a 1.5 adults 18-49overall.
's 2009 Fall (Thursday) season premiere drew a 3.5 adults 18-49 rating. That was down 22% from the Fall 2008 premiere.
My wild guess for Outlaw would be a 3.0 adults 18-49 rating. It's going to follow the America's Got Talent finale, so it will have the best 10pm slot NBC can provide this week.
No more opinion on's ratings other than guessing it will slip the 7% that I will predict for broadcast primetime in general this season, down to a premiere 3.3 adults 18-49 rating.
How do you think Outlaw andwill do in the ratings?
