MIAMI, FL, SEPTEMBER 20, 2010 – Univision Network’s new Sunday entertainment show “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) premiered to stellar numbers last night, averaging nearly 2.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.2 million Adults 18-49, 607,000 Adults 18-34 and 1.0 million Persons 12-34.  In fact, the debut of “Sal y Pimienta” made Univision the #3 broadcast network  in the 10pm-11pm hour among Adults 18-49, Men 18-49, Adults 18-34, Men 18-34, Women 18-34 and Persons 12-34, beating ABC. Additionally, in Los Angeles and Phoenix, Univision stations took the #1 spot with the premiere of “Sal y Pimienta,” regardless of language, among Adults 18-34 and Persons 12-34.

Additional Network Highlights:

  • The premiere of “Sal y Pimienta” delivered more Adult 18-49 (1.2 million), Adult 18-34 (607,000) and Person 12-34 (671,000) viewers than the two-hour season finale of ABC’s “The Gates.”
  • Versus the same night one year ago (09/20/2009) the premiere of “Sal y Pimienta” grew Univision’s time period by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+20%), Adults 18-49 (+37%), Adults 18-34 (+34%) and Persons 12-34 (+7%).
