“THE NFL ON CBS” SCORES AGAIN WITH RATINGS IN WEEK 3 WITH 13% RISE
Indianapolis-Denver Game Highlights Highest Rated Game of Weekend
THE NFL ON CBS’s Week 3 coverage once again earned high marks as the average household rating/share in the metered marketsrose 13% in the Network’s regional and national broadcasts on Sunday, Sept. 26.
Highlighted by the Indianapolis Colts’ 27-13 win over the Denver Broncos, the national window of the Network’s doubleheader earned a 14.2/27, up 13% from last year’s 12.6/24 (Pittsburgh-Cincinnati, Miami-San Diego, Denver-Oakland). The 14.2/27, which also included the San Diego-Seattle and Oakland-Arizona games, was the highest rated game(s) of the weekend in the metered markets.
The Network’s regional game window, featuring the Tennessee-N.Y. Giants, Pittsburgh-Tampa Bay, Cincinnati-Carolina, Buffalo-New England and Cleveland-Baltimore games, earned an average household rating/share of 10.5/22, up 13% from last year’s 9.3/19 (Kansas City-Philadelphia, Tennessee-N.Y. Jets, Jacksonville-Houston, Cleveland-Baltimore) in the metered markets.
Through three weeks of the 2010 NFL season, THE NFL ON CBS has an average household rating/share in the metered markets of12.8/26, up 13% from last year’s 11.3/23. The Network’s NFL pre-game show, THE NFL TODAY, has a rating/share of 2.9/7, up 15%compared to last year’s 2.5/6 after three weeks.
