I've covered the topic about whether the overnights matter a few times in the last couple of months, most recently here. So far premiere week has done nothing but support the notion that the numbers still matter quite a bit.
Broadcasting & Cable's Ben Grossman weighs in on the hypocrisy (and also officially outs @MaskedScheduler for the three people left who didn't know who he is).
Grossman's conclusion, like mine is that for all the talk of C3 & Live+7, the preliminary live+SD numbers matter, and will for some time to come.
