HBO’s Boardwalk Empire Dips, ‘Eastbound & Down’ & ‘Bored To Death’ Premieres Up

The second week of HBO’s highly promoted Boardwalk Empire fell to 3.329 million viewers (down 31% from its premiere) and to a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating (down about 20%). It was watched by a combined 4.4 million if you include the later repeat that night.

On the plus side, the season premiere of HBO’s Eastbound & Down rose to 1.7 million viewers (two million if the later repeat is included), up 150% from its first season premiere.

It followed Bored To Death, which averaged 1.1 million viewers, up 2% from its premiere last year. (1.5 million if the later repeat is included.)
