ON TONIGHT’S “THE RESULTS SHOW” ON ABC

of His Newest Single, “One in a Million”
“Episode 1103A” – On this season’s third “Results Show,” this season’s contestant and multiple Grammy Award-winning artist Michael Bolton returns to the stage for a sensational vocal performance. As previously announced, also performing is multi-platinum, three-time Grammy Award-winning Def Jam recording artist Ne-Yo will perform. In addition, the show will feature a thrilling string duel between “ ” pro/guitarist Mark Ballas and violinist/dancer Val Chmerkovskiy, and a third couple will be eliminated from the competition, on “ the Results Show,” TUESDAY, OCTOBER 5 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
Currently on his world tour in support of his new album “One World, One Love,” on which he collaborated with a number of exciting talents, including award-winning singer/songwriters Lady Gaga and Ne-Yo, Michael Bolton steps back onto the “Dancing with the Stars” stage to sing “Hallelujah” accompanied by professional dancers Anna Trebunskaya and Jonathan Roberts. Throughout the course of his career, Michael Bolton has sold over 53 million records. He has been the recipient of multiple Grammy trophies for Best Male Vocalist and countless other honors, including six American Music Awards, BMI’s Songwriter of the Year Award and a Hitmaker Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Set to release his brand new 4th studio album, Libra Scale, November 22 on Def Jam Recordings, Ne-Yo will make his television debut of the album’s new single, “One in a Million.” Ne-Yo – whose first three studio albums debuted at No. 1 on the Soundscan chart, Year of the Gentleman (2008), Because of You (2007) and In My Own Words (2006) – will continue as a core artist on the roster of Def Jam Recordings. Libra Scale is the much-anticipated follow-up to Ne-Yo’s RIAA platinum Year of the Gentleman, which debuted at No. 1 in September 2008. That album spun off a trio of consecutive RIAA platinum hits: “Closer” (No. 1 U.S. Dance, No. 1 UK), “Miss Independent” (No. 1 U.S. R&B, No. 1 UK R&B) and “Mad” (No. 5 U.S. R&B, No. 3 UK R&B). Year of the Gentleman generated a league-leading total of five Grammy nominations in 2009 – with “Miss Independent” winning for Best R&B Song (songwriters award) and Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. Hosted by Tom Bergeron (“America’s”) and Brooke Burke (“Dancing with the Stars” Season 7 champion), the celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which will be judged by renowned Ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.
Viewers may cast their votes for their favorite teams via phone on Monday night during and up to 30 minutes after the “Dancing with the Stars” performance shows. Wireless customers with AT&T may also text message their votes by texting the word “VOTE” to the number that corresponds to the team they want to support (message and data rates may apply). Viewers may also vote online at www.abc.com starting from the opening of each episode on the East Coast. Fans may cast the maximum limit of votes for each voting method.
