‘Saturday Night Live’ With Jane Lynch & Bruno Mars Scores 2.7 Rating With Adults 18-49

Saturday Night Live with Jane Lynch as host and musical guest Bruno Mars averaged a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating in the 25 markets with local people meters and was the #1 show of the night (including primetime).  That’s up 8% from last week’s 2.5 adults 18-49 rating when Bryan Cranston hosted with musical guest Kanye West.

Via NBC press notes:

  • Last night’s telecast of “Saturday Night Live” was the #1 program of the night, topping all primetime telecasts on all major networks in metered-market household ratings.
  • “Saturday Night Live” (4.8/12 in metered-market households), hosted by Jane Lynch with musical guest Bruno Mars, matched its week-ago household rating to dominate the time period.  Versus the same night last year, “Saturday Night Live” is up 4 percent in metered-market households (4.8 vs. 4.6).  *Note that current metered-market averages are based on Nielsen “live plus same day” data while ratings for last year were drawn from “live only” results.
  • In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, “Saturday Night Live” averaged a 2.7 rating, 12 share in adults 18-49 and was the #1 show of the night in the Local People Meters, ahead of all primetime telecasts on all the major networks.  Week to week, “SNL” is up 8 percent in the local people meters (2.7 vs. 2.5).
