CNN’s new 8pm show Parker / Spitzer started very slowly, finishing in fourth for its first week behind all its cable news competition.

Cable News – 8PM averages for 10/4-10/8

FNC/The O’Reilly Factor: 3,232,000 in P2+ (759,000 in 25-54)

MSNBC/Countdown: 1,079,000 in P2+ (292,000 in 25-54)

HLN/Nancy Grace: 550,000 in P2+ (163,000 in 25-54)

CNN/Parker Spitzer: 465,000 in P2+ (124,000 in 25-54)

Parker / Spitzer was down 24% in average viewership and 7% in the 25-54 demo vs. the same week a year ago for Campbell Brown’s 8pm show, and down 15% in average viewership and 19% in 25-54 vs. Campbell Brown’s 2010 average to date.
