“GMA” Only Morning Show To Grow Total Viewers Year-to-Year;

“GMA” Cuts Demo and Total Viewing Gaps with NBC Week-to-Week and Year-to-Year;

“GMA” Increases Total Viewing Advantage Over CBS Year-to-Year

For the week of October 4th, ABC’s “Good Morning America” averaged 4.160 million Total Viewers and a 1.3/10 among Adults 25-54. “GMA” was the only program to display total viewer growth (+3%) among the three morning programs versus the same week last year.

“GMA” narrowed the demo gap with “Today” by -12% year-to-year and -3% week-to-week. “GMA” also shrank the total viewing gap with “Today” by -40% year-to-year and -11% week-to-week. “Today’s’” weekly total viewing lead over “GMA” has declined for three straight weeks, marking the smallest weekly total viewing gap between the two programs since July.

Additionally, “GMA’s” total viewing (1,560,000) lead over “Early Show” was +15% larger versus the same week last year.

The Emmy Award-winning morning news program, featuring the anchor team of Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Sam Champion and Juju Chang, airs live Monday through Friday from 7:00-9:00 a.m. ET on the ABC Television Network. Jim Murphy is the senior executive producer and Tom Cibrowski is the executive producer of ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
