SYFY’S SANCTUARY SOARS IN SEASON THREE PREMIERE, UP 17 PERCENT IN TOTAL VIEWERS

NEW YORK – October 18, 2010 – Powered by the second consecutive week of WWE Friday Night SmackDown® audience gains, the season three premiere of Sanctuary jumped 17% in total viewers and 12% among Adults 18-49 during its return Friday, October 15, on Syfy, compared to the season two average.
During its 10-11PM (ET/PT) time period, Sanctuary averaged 1.8 million total viewers, 860,000 Adults 25-54 and 728,000 Adults 18-49 while averaging a 1.3 HH rating.
The Friday, October 15 telecast of SmackDown leg locked 2.88 million total viewers, 1.21 million Adults 25-54, 1.13 million Adults 18-49 and a 1.9 HH rating. This was Syfy's most-watched Friday telecast in more than five years (July 2005, the season two premiere of Battlestar Galactica).
SmackDown was the #1 primetime cable entertainment telecast in both Adults18-49 and Adults 25-54. Since premiering on Syfy Friday, October 1, the telecast has risen 14% in Adults 18-49 and total viewers, and 13% in Adults 25-54.
