TNT’s Emmy® Award-Winning NBA Studio Show to Broadcast Live On-Site For Two Highly Anticipated Match-ups
Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith to be in Boston Opening Night for TNT’s
Miami Heat @ Boston Celtics Coverage on Tuesday, Oct. 26, in Cleveland for the return of LeBron James on Dec. 2
TNT’s Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley are taking their Emmy® Award-winning studio show on the road this season for two highly-anticipated NBA match-ups. The trio will make their first onsite appearance on opening night on Tuesday, October 26, at 7 p.m. ET with TNT NBA Tip-off presented by AutoTrader.com, followed by the network’s exclusive coverage of the season opener between the Miami Heat’s power trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh and the Boston Celtics’ Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett (7:30 p.m.). The second game of TNT’s opening night doubleheader features Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets taking on Kobe Bryant and the two-time depending champion LA Lakers (10:30 p.m.).
On December 2, TNT’s studio team will broadcast live from Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena beginning at 8 p.m. ET with TNT NBA Tip-off presented by AutoTrader.com, followed by LeBron James’ return to Cleveland for the first time as a member of the Miami Heat as they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. TNT’s postgame show, Inside the NBA presented by Hyundai, will feature the NBA TV studio team of Matt Winer, Kevin McHale and Chris Webber live from Atlanta when Johnson, Barkley and Smith are on the road.
TNT will once again serve as the exclusive home for NBA All-Star 2011, airing all the action on NBA All-Star Friday, NBA All-Star Saturday and the 2011 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 20, from Los Angeles. The network will also air over 40 NBA playoff games including, on an exclusive basis, conference semi-finals and the Eastern Conference Finals.
