“GMA” Only Morning Program to Grow Total Viewers Year to Year;

“GMA” Cuts Demo and Total Viewing Gaps with NBC Year to Year;

“GMA” Expands Total Viewing Advantage Over CBS Week to Week and Year to Year

For the week of October 11th, ABC’s “Good Morning America” averaged 4.280 million Total Viewers and a 1.3/10 among Adults 25-54.  The program increased in both demo and Total Viewers week to week, and posted its best demo delivery since June and best total viewing delivery since May.

Once again, “GMA” was the only program to display total viewing growth (+7%) among the three morning programs versus the same week last year. Both NBC’s “Today” and CBS’ “Early Show” declined. Among Adults 25-54, “GMA” increased +2% year to year. 

“GMA” narrowed the demo (-16%) and total viewing (-40%) gaps with “Today” year to year.

Additionally, ABC’s total viewing lead (1,580,000) over “Early Show” was +30% larger year to year and +1% larger versus the previous week.

The Emmy Award-winning morning news program, featuring the anchor team of Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Sam Champion and Juju Chang, airs live Monday through Friday from 7:00-9:00 a.m., ET on the ABC Television Network. Jim Murphy is the senior executive producer and Tom Cibrowski is the executive producer of ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
