Wednesday Cable: Southpark Down; Terriers Has Fallen and it Can’t Get Up & Much More

After rising last week with a Jersey Shore-themed episode, South Park was down 0.3 with adults 18-49 to a 1.6 rating.

Terriers had already fallen, but it can't get up.  It scored another 0.2 rating with adults 18-49 and dropped below 500,000 viewers.  The week-to-week fluctuation in South Park's 18-49 audience was bigger than the entire 18-49 audience for Terriers.

While I'm hesitant to to predict outcomes for cable shows, let me put it like this:  I would be very surprised, but not absolutely stunned if AMC renews Rubicon. I will be completely stunned if FX renews Terriers. Could FX decide to change the name of the show and completely re-market it?  That would be a pretty stunning move on its own.

The Ultimate Fighter, Ghost Hunters and the late afternoon ALCS game 5 (Yankees/Rangers) were the only other shows in the selected group with a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating or better.

Storm Chasers premiered to a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating.
