Good news for The Vampire Diaries. Highest viewers since February. Is that 1.7 highest since Feb too?

    Glad Nikita is steady.

  2. Ben Thompson

Bill, didn’t Vampire Diaries go up in A18-49 too?

  3. GARebelman

Yep VD went up to a 1.7. That’s the highest this season so far. If it keeps going up it may beat NBC before the fall is out.

  4. Ben, you’re right, it did. I usually just check the W18-34 numbers for the CW. Will edit and retweet.

  5. tk

That audience count is awful for GA, from 30+million at some point to just 10M.

  6. Momonja

I’m curious about the Jersey Shore finale ratings…

  7. Wilson

Wow, it looks like VD could finally be on an upward trend in the ratings. Last night’s episode was really…intense. lol

  8. Kolyo

Last two episodes of CSI were one of the best in the whole series. Well done CSI! The writers are back in the game!

  9. Dario

@ tk this are awesome ratings for a 7 year old show. Just name one show which hold ratings from the first season!

    Glad to se VD up.

  10. Lu

I agree with Kolyo, some of the best episodes of the series.

  11. Taylor

I am surprised that Nikita loses so many viewers from VD in the 18-34.

  12. Bee

    tk,

you’re joking right? grey’s got 30+ million for it’s 1 post-superbowl episode. then it started getting 20 million+. and now with it’s nearly 11 million (+2.5 million from DVR), it’s still a star. EVERY show goes down. it’s still one of the highest rated shows on television.

  13. A low rated night across the boar, gladd TBBT is still in the 4 zone and The Office in the 3 zone

  14. LisaM

I didn’t laugh once during last night’s TBBT. Too much Amy, whom I don’t like, with Sheldon still being a a-hole. It has definitely lost something this season. I laughed more at an old My Three Sons episode last night than TBBT. :-(

  15. Bee

hooray for grey’s and it’s 4.0 (darn you TBBT and youre 4.1). hopefully it rebounds to 4.2-4.5 next week.
    and hang in there PP.

and YESSS for TVD season high ;) awesome.

  16. Heradite

I gotta say that after watching last night episode’s of VD…Vampire Diaries deserves that 1.7 rating and a whole lot more. My college roommate reflected that it must have been shocking because towards the end, my face was simply full of total shock.

  17. Joey

Office just keeps getting worse and worse.. Last nits episode was pathetic

  18. CW tvWATCH01

Vampire Diaries had a great episode and looking at the preview, it only gets better next week. I cant remember when the last show that I watched had a better second season than its first since Lost.

Kind of off topic, but Cougar Town is now officially the highest rated scripted show on ABC outside of the 3 ‘powerhouses’ (Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives and Modern Family). There was a time a couple of weeks back when CT, Private Practice, Brothers & Sisters, Castle and No Ordinary Family were all hovering in the high 2s, but they’ve all dropped while CT has gone up.

I’m a fan of the all the shows I just listed (except Castle which I’ve never watched but have been meaning to), so I want them all to do well. It’s just satisfying for CT to now be one of ABCs biggest hits after it was recieving so much flack for its ‘bad’ ratings. Who cares about retention – it’s beating nearly everything! (I’ll admit that says a lot about the current state of ABC but still!)

  20. Wilson

@CWtvWATCH01: Supernatural and Fringe both had second seasons that blew the first seasons out of the water. Other candidates: Breaking Bad’s 2nd season, and apparently the Good Wife is gonna be better from the way the show is taking off this season.
