HIS FIRST HBO STAND-UP COMEDY SPECIAL, DEBUTS NOV. 13
One of the hottest comedy stars on the scene today headlines his first HBO stand-up special when TRACY MORGAN: BLACK AND BLUE, presenting his unpredictable and freewheeling brand of humor in an uncensored setting, debuts SATURDAY, NOV. 13 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT).
Other HBO playdates: Nov. 16 (10:00 p.m.), 18 (1:25 a.m.), 21 (4:15 a.m.), 24 (11:00 p.m.) and 29 (11:45 p.m.), and Dec. 2 (midnight) and 10 (10:30 p.m.)
HBO2 playdates: Nov. 15 (11:30 p.m.) and 20 (10:00 p.m.)
Taped before a live audience at the Apollo Theatre in New York City in September, TRACY MORGAN: BLACK AND BLUE features the idiosyncratic comic’s audacious observations on such subjects as the difference between white and black culture, drugs, meeting President Obama, white rage, airport profiling, terrorism and sex.
“The special is going to be all the elements: fire, water, earth, air, the comedy bender, the avatar of comedy experience,” says Morgan.
One of the stars of the current hit series “30 Rock,” Morgan was a cast regular on “Saturday Night Live” from 1996 to 2003. In addition to headlining his own series, “The Tracy Morgan Show,” he has starred in such films as “Death at a Funeral,” “G-Force,” “First Sunday,” “Cop Out,” “Superhero Movie” and “The Longest Yard.”
Morgan received a 2009 Emmy® nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for “30 Rock,” along with three NAACP Image Award nominations for Supporting Actor.
TRACY MORGAN: BLACK AND BLUE is written and executive produced by Tracy Morgan; executive produced by Dave Becky and David Miner; produced by Pat Tourk Lee and John Moffitt; directed by John Moffitt.
