TV Ratings Broadcast Top 25: Brett Favre, Modern Family, Two and a Half Men, NCIS, DWTS, The Big Bang Theory Top Week 5 Viewing
As usual, Sunday Night Football came out on top with adults 18-49, and with Brett Favre-fueled ratings, also was easily on top with total viewers. With adults 18-49, Sunday Night Football more than doubled its closest non Sunday Night Football related competition. Sunday Night Football pulled a 9.8 rating with adults 18-49 compared to a 4.7 rating for Modern Family, which was tops among scripted content with adults 18-49.
The game was the most-watched Sunday Night Football broadcast ever, and the most-watched NFL game in primetime in October in fourteen years.
Though not even Favre could double the total overall viewing numbers for a Leroy Jethro Gibbs-fueled NCIS, but Sunday Night Football still won comfortably 25.7 million vs. 19.4 million. NCIS was also strong with adults 18-49, trailing only Two and a Half Men and Modern Family as well as Sunday Night Football.
Those looking for Glee and Fox’s Sunday animations, they had the week off from an original episodes due to prior scheduling related to the baseball playoffs. Glee will be back this week and will surely be in the next top 25, the animated series return the following week.
