CBS NEWS’ “SUNDAY MORNING” IS UP IN VIEWERS AND HOUSEHOLDS IN ITS 96th CONSECUTIVE WEEK AS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING NEWS PROGRAM

On October 24, 2010, CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.4/10 with 5.00m viewers, 1.4/07 in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. This marks the broadcast’s 96th consecutive week as the #1 Sunday morning news program.  Compared to the same day last year, SUNDAY MORNING was up +6% in households (from 3.2/09) and +7% in viewers (from 4.68m).

SUNDAY MORNING (24), anchored by Charles Osgood, featured John Blackstone’s report on California’s preparation for a big earthquake; Anthony Mason’s interview with legendary musician, Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones; Armen Keteyian’s profile of mystery author Lee Child and Mo Rocca’s interview with David Eisenhower and his wife Julie Nixon Eisenhower – heirs of two of the most famous politicians of the 20th century.

SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM, ET/check local listings) on the CBS Television Network.  Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
