Univision Highlights – NPM Broadcast Prime Week of 10/25/10

•       Univision finished the week as the #4 ranked broadcast network among Adults 18-34 (1,280,000); beating CBS and CW.  Additionally, Univision was the #5 broadcast network in overall primetime among Total Viewers 2+ (4.3 million), Adults 18-49 (2.3 million) and Teens 12-17(197,000); beating CW.

•       For the sixth consecutive week in the current 2010-2011 Season, Univision was the #1 broadcast  network among Kids 2-11 (568,000), beating its closest competitor, FOX, by 8% in overall prime.

•       In week six of the 2010-11 Season, Univision had the highest growth of any broadcast network compared with the comparable week in 2009 among Total Viewers 2+ (+32%), Adults 18-49 (+44%), Adults 18-34 (+41%) and Adults 25-54 (+41%).

•       Last week, Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX on 6 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-34 and Teens 12-17, and on 3 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49.

•       For the week, 8 of the Top 30 primetime broadcast shows among Adults 18-34 were on Univision.

•       On Friday night, Univision was the #1 watched broadcast network in primetime among Adults 18-49 (3.2 million), Adults 18-34 (1.8 million) and Teens 12-17 (317,000), and ranked #2, behind CBS, among Total Viewers 2+ (5.8 million).

•       Last Friday marked the two-hour (8-10pm) grand finale of Univision’s “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (for Love or Money) attracting 6.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 3.3 million Adults 18-49, 1.9 million Adults 18-34 and 2.2 million Persons 12-34; garnering the novela’s highest-rated performance since its premiere back on January 18, 2010.

•       “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money) was the #1 most-watched program on Friday night among Adults 18-49 and  Adults 18-34; delivering more viewers than first-run episodes of ABC’s “Primetime: What Would You Do” and “20/20;” CBS’ “Medium,” “CSI: NY,” and “Blue Bloods;” NBC’s “School Pride” and “Dateline;” FOX’s “The Good Guys” and CW’s “Smallville” and “Supernatural.”  Additionally, the novela finale averaged 4-times more viewers than Telemundo’s two-hour finale of “El Clon” in the Friday 8-10pm slot among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

•       “Sábado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) helped Univision capture the #3 position on Saturday night among Adults 18-34 (565,000) and ranked #4, beating CBS, among Teens 12-17 (80,000) and Kids 2-11 (272,000).

•       On Sunday, “Mira Quien Baila” (Look Who’s Dancing!) delivered 3.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.8 million Adults 18-49 and 841,000 Adults 18-34.   For the week, Univision’s dance competition delivered more Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 than many English-language shows including CW’s “Hellcats” and “Nikita;” NBC’s “Chase” and “School Pride;” FOX’s “Good Guys” and ABC’s “The Whole Truth”.
